A very rare variant of this subspecies. The patterning and features of this specimen show it to be a conchological intermediate linking vercoi with thersites.

This deep-water specimen exhibits impressive patterning, heavy intense spotting, excellent morphological features and an impressive hyper-glossy nacre. Richly pigmented with golden/tan hues, similar to the form given the name "vercoi f. hudsoni." Not your typical specimen. Superb shape and symmetry with moderate inflation and rostration. The columellar dorsum and lateral wall spotting is excellent, as seen in the photos. The shell has no detectable visible or palpable flaws.
